Free SAT® practice test
Test A is a full-length digital SAT practice test you can take free on Peakscor: 98 questions in four modules, with an adaptive second module in each section and an estimated score at the end. Challenge Test 1, the same format built from harder material, is free too.
Exactly what is free
- Test A: a full-length practice test in the digital SAT format.
- Challenge Test 1: a full-length test with a hard Module 1 and a Module 2 made mostly of the hardest questions.
- All three timing options on both: official timing, 1.5× extended time, or untimed.
- The 20-question diagnostic: an estimated level in every Reading and Writing and Math domain.
- 36 practice questions a day: 9 easy, 9 medium, 9 hard and 9 challenging, each with an explanation. They reset at midnight Central Time, and it is the same allowance for every test you practice.
You need a free Peakscor account, made with an email address, to take a test. No card is needed.
The other full-length tests, the other Challenge tests and unlimited practice come with Pro. See Pricing for what each plan includes.
What the test is like
- Reading and Writing: two modules of 27 questions, then a 10-minute break.
- Math: two modules of 22 questions.
- 2 hours 14 minutes of testing on official timing.
- Module 2 of each section is the harder version if you get 60% or more of Module 1 right, and the easier version if you don’t.
- At the end: estimated section scores from 200 to 800 and a total from 400 to 1600.
Every question is original Peakscor practice, not an official College Board question, and every score is an estimate. See how the digital SAT is scored.
